Drawn today to chat about the importance of dreams. Do you remember your dreams? Do you have recurring dreams? Are you able to revisit recurring dreams and change the outcome? What is the difference in night dreams, day dreams and meditation, guided or not? Can we use definitions available in both cases or do we need specific like for like answers?
Any dream is your dream alone and therefore no one else can truly understand as they have not walked in your shoes or experienced the diversity of life that you have. Therefore the best person to find the interpretation of what is trying to be relayed to you, is yourself. But how do I do that? Today it is so much easier having the world at our fingertips. Now we can just key in ‘dream meaning of' . . . or 'symbolic meaning of' . . . and a whole screen of suggested answers will be displayed in front of you. Be discerning and use some feeling when choosing as there will always be one meaning that ‘speaks’ to you more than the others.
For a period of a year or so I was fortunate to have my brother Russ living in the same flat as I was in, in Edinburgh. He was excellent at dream interpretation and, back then, not having the same access to the plethora of information available now and the very basic book that I had then, he was my go-to ‘seer’. Russ was a natural in his sharing and so exact that when spoken out loud before me it was like the pieces of a jigsaw fitting together and the picture of it all displayed before me.
Like many things in life though I have found that where other human beings are involved they may have a tendency to put their ‘spin’ on it, unable to remove themselves from that which they 'wish' to share with you; sadly both consciously and unconsciously.
Currently I have been having really deep dreams but finding them difficult to remember on waking. It is something we can work on and get better at but I feel that is not my current calling so I am ‘watching’ with interest and seeing where it all leads. What you can do to help is to have pen and paper beside your bed and, before you go to sleep tell yourself ‘when I wake up in the morning I will remember my dream!’ Try it, and let me know how you get on.
The planet Neptune, described here via https://cafeastrology.com/neptune.html tells us: ‘Neptune, God of the Sea, is the ruler of Pisces. In astrology, Neptune is considered a planet of inspiration, dreams, psychic receptivity, illusion, and confusion.’ 13th June (4 days ago) a biannual conjunction of Mars and Neptune took place merging their energies to work as one. This happened/is happening in the sun sign of Pisces which is the natural home of Neptune. Then on 23rd June Neptune ‘turns’ retrograde inviting us to explore the magic within ourselves. Where better to do that than in our dreams; when we can let go of the ego and freely explore our inner world. We may however feel as if we are being pulled in two different directions because of the influence of Mars. [Also taken from cafeastrology.] ‘With Mars, there is no contemplation before action. The drive associated with Mars differs from that of the Sun in that it is self-assertion rather than the assertion of the will; it is raw energy rather than creative energy.’ So go gently with yourself and allow whatever needs to arise to show itself to you. Do not judge, see it, accept it, love it and let go.
We are also on our way to the summer solstice [longest day] taking place on 20th June, at 21:43 GMT. https://greenwichmeantime.com/longest-day/ Then we have ‘the next solar eclipse [which] is an annular, or "ring of fire" eclipse that will take place on June 21, 2020.’ Unfortunately for us northerners ‘it will be visible from much of Africa, southeast Europe and most of Asia, with a partial eclipse visible in northern Australia.’ https://www.space.com/15584-solar-eclipses.html It occurs at 7:41 GMT at 0 degrees of sun sign Cancer which is also the time of the next new moon. All this is big energy happening in the cosmos and only part of the bigger picture. It carries great introspection opportunities and where better to know what is going on inside of us than from our dreams and meditations.
Sweet dreams, Namaste xx
